Unearth the Past - A Cemetery Walk

May 8, 2024, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

The Redcliffe Historical Society will be conducting a cemetery walk as part of the 2024 Heritage Festival History Redcliffe. This new walk, called "Unearth the Past", will showcase the lives of individuals who played a role in local government, regardless of their level of significance or how long ago they served. The walk will pay tribute to former Mayors, Councillors, council workers, and anyone else who had a connection with local government and is now buried in the Redcliffe Cemetery. This event also aims to acknowledge the Queensland local government elections of 2024.

Visitors are advised to wear a hat, sensible shoes, and carry a water bottle. There is limited parking at the cemetery, entered from MacDonnell Road.
